Intro
Hi my name is Ryan Quinten and I'm from San Diego, Ca. I'm currently a freshman at the best college in the world, UCSB! I'm majoring in computer engineering and will most likely minor in economics. I'm determined to get the most out of my college experience by having the time of my life while balancing my academics. I want to maintain the grades I was getting in high school and make connections with new people. It's only been a little over a week and I've already made a lot of new friends that I keep for a long time. The environment at UCSB is so relaxing. Whenever you feel stressed, the beach is a short walk away. Also there is multiple gyms, where I can play my favorite sport, basketball, and also get a great workout in. It's inspiring being around so many intelligent people. It makes me want to make sure I succeed in life after college. My parents never went to college, and they were never financially stable. This pushes me to give my self the best opportunity to get a really high paying job, so my kids won't ever have to worry about money. In the next 4 years, I want to learn what it really means to be a Gaucho.

I find it interesting how you are from San Diego, California. I have always wanted to go there but I never got around to it even though I live in Los Angeles. I want especially want to go visit Legoland. I can relate to you when it comes to parents not ever going to college. I also am striving to do well in school because I would like to be financially stable when I grow up. I think it is a great thing that you are doing what you need to do to ensure that your kids will have a better life. It is always good to look ahead and have long term goals. I have similar goals like you even though I am not going to major in computer engineering. Hope I see you around campus!
ReplyDeleteDude! I Love San Diego! Wish I had a vacation at San Diego. And yes I agree that UCSB is the best college in the world! Computer engineering sounds awesome. I hope you end up reaching your goals! The gyms here are amazing. They have everything here! Except for football, its a bummer. However everything else is great. I hope you pass this seminar.
